St. Paul Students Set Goals in Back-To-School Workshops |

When St. Paul students returned to school this week, they did not head back to the classroom. Instead, they heard Dr. Cathryn Addy, President of Tunxis Community College in Farmington, speak about the importance of setting goals. Staff and consultants offered multiple workshops that helped students define their own goals for the coming academic year in four distinct areas: academic, career, personal, and spiritual.

Faith Martin '11 Named Bristol Press Female Athlete of the Year! |

|
Just how great of a swimmer is Faith Martin?
Only three girls in the entire state can claim to have ever beaten her in a CIAC-sanctioned swimming event, and all three have also been defeated by Martin.
In three years she has never lost an individual event during a swim meet with the St. Paul team, and she’s competed in every event possible except diving.

Save the Date for the 2010 Circle of Honor Tribute Dinner |

This year's Circle of Honor Tribute Dinner will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT.
Each year, St. Paul inducts new members into its Circle of Honor (formerly the St. Paul Hall of Fame). Induction into the Circle of Honor is the highest honor St. Paul can bestow upon outstanding alumni, faculty members and St. Paul community members.

St. Paul Alums Create New Youth Theater in New Britain |

St. Paul alumni Darren Farrington '86 and David Sousa '86 started their theater careers together, and now, more than 20 years later, they're leading the next generation of Thespians.
Farrington and Sousa, who performed together in shows at St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, founded the New Britain Youth Theater in March. Through summer and after-school programs, NBYT hopes to introduce theater to children who might otherwise never get a taste of the dramatic arts.

Annual Fund, Enrollments Exceed Goals |

Projecting its largest incoming freshman class in 10 years, St. Paul Catholic High School President Cary Dupont announced the successful conclusion of an annual fund drive that far exceeded its goals. “People are genuinely committed to improving the student experience at St. Paul,” Dupont said. “We’ve had an amazing year, with championship sports teams, record academic scholarship awards, and a theater program that has achieved statewide recognition. The community of parents, alumni, and donors has stepped up its involvement in a big way.”
