This year St. Paul Catholic High School’s Performing Arts program of Bristol is mounting the largest musical in it’s 40 year history.

St. Paul Performing Arts is one of the smallest troupes in the state but their vision for their upcoming musical Peter Pan is anything but small. With a talented cast of over thirty-five students, a twenty-six piece orchestra, wonderful vocals, delightful choreography and an incredibly staged production, this show promises a real favorite for audiences of all ages.

The sets for Peter Pan are wonderfully designed including a 40 foot pirate ship, a magical Neverland and of course the Darling family nursery.

Special costumes have been designed and crafted for many of the characters in Peter Pan as well other costumes that aren’t as easy to come by. For example, Nana the dog costume is coming all the way from The Santa Barbara Theater in California and the crocodile costume is coming from Louisville, Kentucky.

The cast will be flying high over the St. Paul theater thanks to one of the premiere flying companies in the world for flying actors, the ZFX Flying Effects company.

St. Paul is bringing in a team of professional theatrical flyers to campus to teach the theatre students how to fly resulting in stunning effects for their production.

Whether you're a parent, grandparent or aunt tagging along with your own little ones, this wonderful cast dares you not to have a grand time at this never aging musical with its determinedly forever young hero

portrayed by a very talented freshman, Christina Scurto.

The production of Peter Pan opens April 8th at 7:00 p.m. and continues April 9th and 10th with a matinee performance offered at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday April 11. Tickets are available at spchs.net or by contacting the school at 860-584-0911.
