SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INCOMING STUDENTS

The top scorers on the December Placement Exam are awarded scholarships. Students receiving an Academic Scholarship must maintain an average of 85 or above, and maintain good behavior to renew the scholarship the following year.

The St. Paul Faculty Scholarship Fund awards $1,000 scholarships annually to incoming freshmen. Students will be chosen based on academic standing and community and school involvement, and financial need.

The Rev. Edmund O’Brien Scholarship is a renewable scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen based on academic promise, financial need, involvement in school/community activities, and strength of character.  Awards have already been made for the 2010-2011 academic year.

The St. Paul / Southington Scholarship offers several four year scholarships for members of Southington Catholic parishes who are entering their 9th grade year at St. Paul Catholic High School. Priority for this scholarship is given to those students who are members of a Southington parish, exhibit active membership at their church, show academic promise, and may have financial need.  Awards have already been made for the 2010-2011 academic year.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CONTINUING STUDENTS

In addition, St. Paul has scholarship opportunities for continuing students. Each spring St. Paul Catholic High School awards Memorial Scholarships from funds that have been established through parents, alumni, and friends of St. Paul Catholic. Students are recommended for these scholarships through faculty and administration nominations. Scholarship amounts vary from $75 to $2,500 and are awarded to current St. Paul Catholic students who will be continuing their education.
