St. Paul alumni Darren Farrington '86 and David Sousa '86 started their theater careers together, and now, more than 20 years later, they're leading the next generation of Thespians.
Farrington and Sousa, who performed together in shows at St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, founded the New Britain Youth Theater in March. Through summer and after-school programs, NBYT hopes to introduce theater to children who might otherwise never get a taste of the dramatic arts.
"Schools don't offer too much in terms of the arts," said Farrington, the theater's executive producing director. "Most kids don't have a chance to take part in a performance until high school."
